Installation tools, accessories, spare parts list, and procurement guidance for road video surveillance systems

A successful road surveillance installation depends not only on the core equipment but also on the correct selection and availability of installation tools, accessories, and spare parts. Inadequate tooling leads to poor-quality terminations, damaged cables, and incorrect mounting, all of which reduce system reliability and increase maintenance costs. A well-planned accessories and spare parts inventory ensures that maintenance teams can respond quickly to equipment failures without waiting for procurement cycles.

8.1 Accessories & Spare Parts Visual List

The following diagram presents the complete accessories and spare parts list for a road video surveillance system in a visual catalog format. Each item is shown with its part number reference and unit of supply. This list should be used as the basis for the project bill of materials and the initial spare parts inventory.

8.2 Complete Accessories Bill of Materials

The following table provides the complete accessories bill of materials with specifications, quantities, and procurement notes. Quantities are expressed per surveillance point (one roadside cabinet with four cameras) and must be multiplied by the number of surveillance points in the project.

8.3 Installation Tools Required

The following tools are required for the installation and commissioning of a road surveillance system. Tools should be verified as calibrated and in good condition before the start of installation, and the installation team should carry sufficient spares of consumable items such as cable ties and labels.
